Hand-carved Cogan cave in Iranian province of Lorestan surprises every visitor.

Iran is home to a variety of natural and cultural attractions that bring tourists from around the world to the country.  

There are many hand-carved caves in the country where are great places for archeological studies.

Cogan cave in the province of Lorestan is a two-story cave that most likely dates back to the time of the Arsacid Empire.

The entrance of the cave is 25 meters above the ground. It’s not exactly clear how people could ascend the mountain to reach the entrance.

The cave is made of a number of connected rooms. There are water reservoirs in every room.
